SOURCENEXT Launches All-You-Can-Grab "CHOU HODAI"

Service Offering over 120 Software Titles

(Tokyo, Japan –Jun 10, 2014) SOURCENEXT Corporation, announced today that they have launched a new service called "CHOU HODAI" –an all you can grab subscription-based service which allows users to take advantage of over 120 of the latest software titles for an annual fee. Details of the service, as described below.

 

1. Details of the New Service

 "To create the next source" - as the company name states, SOURCENEXT was founded with the belief of breaking new grounds through the planning / developing / marketing of consumer software. Ever since their founding, the company has partnered with various software developers and vendors from around the world to bring forth new products, such as their flagship security software and various other high quality products at reasonable prices, with aims to bring forth new value to the software market. As a result of these efforts, in 2013 the company achieved the No.1 position in the PC software’s vendor based share of units sold.

Today, on June 10, 2014, SOURCENEXT announced the launch of an all new "CHOU HODAI" service, which allow users to take advantage of over 120 software in their wide software lineup, all at an annual fee of 4,980 yen. In the next three years of service, they aim to obtain 1 million subscribers, and also have plans of increasing the number of titles available, based on the customers’ requests and feedbacks.

Unlike the existing "sellout" type business model seen in software markets, this new software subscription service introduces a whole new business model. With the start of this new business model, SOURCENEXT plan on further expanding their current user base, as well as securing a steady source of income for future businesses.

2. Main Features

- From antivirus software to games, the service comes with a wide variety of software to choose from (over 120 titles). All software included in the lineup are current market sold versions and do not come with any feature restrictions (full features). Product updates are also provided free-of-charge during the subscription period, and users can rest assured that they always get the latest versions available.

- The software can be downloaded using a dedicated download tool, which allows downloading and installation to be carried out automatically in a single flow. No more hassling with installations.

- Products do not require constant Internet connection, and can be used offline as well.

- Renewals can be carried out easily over the Internet, and doesn’t require you to re-install any software after the renewal.
